UNBOUND
On October 5, 2024, Unbound: Art Against Assault opened its
doors for the first time at Lamias 6 in Tavros, Athens,
presenting a powerful art exhibition that tackled the issue of
sexual violence through creative expression. Organized by
Campion School students Julia Dimaki and Elly Culucundis, the
event aimed to raise awareness about sexual assault, spark
important conversations about change, and raise money to
support victims of sexual violence in Greece.
The exhibition showcased impactful works by young artists
from across Greece, whose pieces reflected their personal
experiences and emotions surrounding sexual violence. This was
done by combining various different art forms, such as
paintings, poetry, film, and music. Highlights included the
internationally recognized "What Were You Wearing?" exhibit
and Simone Padovani's powerful photography series "Shame –
European Stories", capturing stories of abuse from across
Europe.
All proceeds were donated to the Justice Initiative, an
organization dedicated to supporting victims and fighting for
justice.
